I am a huge fan of Christian Dior’s fashion and have loved their fashion sense for years. This book shares many of their style secrets in this helpful handbook. This covers a bit of everything from what to wear to a wedding, how to tie a scarf properly, and how to walk properly with grace. I learned there are three main fundamentals involving fashion such as good taste, simplicity, and grooming. This book is an alphabetical collection of the best of Christian Dior’s statements on many elements of style and fashion. I enjoyed the black and white photographs, and drawings they had in this handbook. I felt there needed to be further detailed descriptions for those who are interested in learning more about the concepts of fashion. All I can hope is that she will write another book revealing more about personal life, her views, thoughts, and inspirational stories. This book is not just for those who are hairstylists/hairdressers but this is for anyone who has an interest in Tabatha Coffey in general. Auguste Racinet, The Costume History

This year for my birthday I'm getting myself a few beautiful books to add to my collection of art books. I went to one of my favorite websites Taschen Books to find something for myself. That's where I saw The Costume History by Auguste Racinet. I was drawn to it because of the detailed illustrations of fashion and costumes from the past centuries. I'm not really so much into fashion, but I do find it rather interesting, especially the more avant-garde things that some designers are doing these days.
