Book: It’s Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love and Business of Beauty
Author: Tabatha Coffey
Tabatha Coffey is the breakout star with her reality television show called Tabatha Takes Over on the Bravo network. Tabatha Coffey is brave, smart, honest, straight-to-the-point, stylish, and blunt with her advice to others. Tabatha is a very private person and in her book she completely opens up about her life with raw, shocking, inspirational and hilarious moments in this part memoir. Ms. Coffey’s book provides the reader a small glimpse into her life and I must say that I absolutely loved it and desired to hear more about her life. All I can hope is that she will write another book revealing more about personal life, her views, thoughts, and inspirational stories. This book is not just for those who are hairstylists/hairdressers but this is for anyone who has an interest in Tabatha Coffey in general. Her inspiration stories touched my heart which was wonderful.
She talked about her battles with weight issues, the mob, and issues with her father and how she learned about hair and further transformations. I think this a great coffee table book too for friends and guests to glance at while visiting. Additional parts of the book talks about her reason for writing this book, her very first salon takeover, the problems she had with a breast surgery, her further thoughts in looking past the hair, how to go with your gut, and some funny tidbits on things that are okay to say. I can’t repeat the phrases and bad words she mentions but I think you can get a good idea on what those words contain.
